What Happens After You Submit a Song

After you submit a track to a curator on PlaylistFeed, it enters their submission inbox. This article explains what happens next and how you can track your submission.

1. Submission is Delivered to the Curator

Once you submit your song, the curator will receive it inside their playlist’s submission inbox. They will see:

  • Your artist profile
  • Your submitted track (Spotify link)
  • Any message you included during the request

Only curators who have accepted your request can receive your submission.

2. The Curator Reviews Your Track

Curators are responsible for reviewing each submission and deciding whether to add it to their playlist. There is no guaranteed response time, and response rates vary by curator.

They may:

  • Listen and add the track to their playlist
  • Skip the track if it doesn’t fit
  • Take no action if they’re not active

3. You Can Track Submission Status

You can view the status of your submission from your profile dashboard.

Statuses include:

  • Submitted: Track has been sent and is pending review
  • Accepted: Curator added your track to their playlist
  • Declined: Curator reviewed but didn’t select the track

If a curator does not act on a submission, it may remain in pending status until it expires or is cleared.

4. One Submission Per Playlist

Each curator network allows one active submission per artist per playlist. If you want to send a new track, wait until the previous one is accepted or skipped.

Notes

  • Acceptance is not guaranteed
  • You will not be notified if your track is skipped
  • If a curator remains inactive for an extended period, you may choose to withdraw your submission and pitch to others
