How to Find the Right Curators (For Artists)

Targeted submission = better results

Submitting to curators who match your sound improves your chances of getting accepted, saves time, and increases long-term success. This guide shows you how to find the right curators on PlaylistFeed.

1. Use Search Bar

Go to the Explore section to browse Boosted playlists.

Search Keywords narrow your search by:

  • Genre (e.g. indie rock, trap, EDM)
  • Mood (e.g. chill, energetic, dark)
  • Newest or most active playlists

Only Boosted playlists accept submission requests.

2. Read Playlist Titles and Captions

Before requesting access, read the playlist title and caption carefully.

Check for:

  • Genre or vibe match
  • Active update schedule
  • Clear playlist direction

If it doesn’t match your style, don’t submit.

3. Listen Before You Submit

Play the first few tracks in the playlist. Does your track belong there? If not, move on.

Tip: Submitting music that doesn’t fit is the #1 reason for skips and low acceptance rates.

4. Look for Curators with Consistent Activity

Curators who Boost regularly and update their playlists are more likely to review your submission.

Signs of active curators:

  • Recent Boost date
  • New songs added within the last 1–2 weeks
  • High visibility in Feed or Explore

5. Check the Curator’s Profile

Click on the curator’s name to see:

  • Their bio (genre focus, submission info)
  • Other playlists they manage
  • Whether their profile looks complete and trustworthy

Avoid curators with blank profiles or unclear intent.

6. Track Your Results and Adjust

After submitting, track your acceptance rate. If you’re consistently getting skipped, refine your targeting.

Tip: Build a personal list of high-fit curators you can come back to with future releases.
