Boosting a playlist on PlaylistFeed is how you activate public visibility, accept music submissions, and grow your curator presence. This article explains how Boosts function, how storage is handled, and how payments are processed.
What Is a Boost?
A Boost activates your playlist across the platform. Once Boosted, your playlist becomes:
- Visible in Home Feed and Explore
- Eligible to receive submission requests
- Connected to your Curator Network
- Indexed for genre and mood-based discovery
Boosting is required to unlock core playlist features. Without it, playlists remain private and cannot receive submissions.
Boost and Storage
When you Boost a playlist:
- It is stored in the platform’s public-facing database for visibility
- Metadata (title, tags, caption) is indexed for search
- Submissions and interactions tied to that Boost are stored securely
- Removing the Boost hides the playlist but retains associated data unless deleted
Note: Removing or deleting a playlist will erase stored submission history and activity for that item.
Boost Duration
- Boosts remain active until you manually remove them
- There is no expiration unless your account type includes time-based limits
- You can Boost and unboost playlists at any time
Payments (If Required)
If Boosting involves payment on your plan:
- You’ll be prompted to pay or use available credits/tokens before activation
- All transactions are processed securely via supported payment providers
- Your Boost history and payment status are visible in your Billing or Account Settings
Check your account plan to confirm how many Boosts are included and whether credits are required.
Notes
- You must Boost a playlist to make it discoverable and submission-ready
- Each Boost is tied to a single playlist
- Boosts can be removed any time to pause visibility
- Stored submission data is retained unless you manually delete the playlist
