How Artists Request to Join Your Network

Artists can only submit music to your playlist after you approve their request to join your Curator Network. This request system ensures you stay in control of what submissions you receive.

Requirements

Before artists can send a request, the following must be true:

  • Your playlist is published
  • Your playlist is Boosted
  • Your profile is complete (bio and avatar recommended)

Without a Boost, artists will not see the option to request access.

How It Works (Artist View)

  1. The artist finds your Boosted playlist in Feed or Explore.
  2. They click on your playlist page.
  3. They see the “Submissions” button.
  4. They submit a short request to join your Curator Network.
  5. You receive a notification with the artist’s request.

What You’ll See

  • Notifications will alert you when a new request is received.
  • You can view requests on the playlist’s management page.
  • Each request includes the artist’s profile, genre, and Spotify link.
  • You can accept or decline each request manually.

After You Accept

Once accepted:

  • The artist can submit tracks directly to that playlist
  • You will receive the track in your submission inbox
  • You can listen, respond, and take action on each submission

You can remove an artist from your network at any time.

Notes

  • Artists can only submit music after approval
  • Each playlist has a separate Curator Network
  • Declining a request does not notify the artist, but prevents them from submitting
