DMCA and Copyright Reporting

PlaylistFeed respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on the platform without authorization, you may file a formal takedown request.

This article explains how to submit a DMCA notice and what happens after a report is received.


When to Submit a Copyright Complaint

You may submit a DMCA takedown request if:

  • Someone has uploaded or linked to your copyrighted material without permission
  • Your music or artwork is being used in a playlist, profile, or submission without your authorization
  • You are the legal copyright owner or an authorized agent

Do not submit false claims. Misuse of this process may result in penalties under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.


What to Include in Your DMCA Notice

To be valid, your DMCA notice must include:

  1. Your full legal name and contact information
  2. A description of the copyrighted work being infringed
  3. A link to the specific content on PlaylistFeed you want removed
  4. A statement that:
    • You believe in good faith that the use is unauthorized
    • The information you provided is accurate
    • You are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  5. Your electronic signature

What Happens After Submission

  • We review all valid DMCA notices within a reasonable time
  • If accepted, the content will be removed or access disabled
  • The user responsible for the content may be notified and may file a counter-notice under the DMCA

PlaylistFeed complies with the law but does not mediate disputes. If necessary, further legal steps should be handled between the parties involved.


Counter-Notice Process

If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a DMCA counter-notice. Include:

  • Your full legal name and contact info
  • Identification of the content removed and where it appeared
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed in error
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court
  • Your electronic signature
