These guidelines apply to all users on PlaylistFeed. Whether you’re an artist, curator, or both — following these rules helps keep the platform safe, fair, and aligned with music industry standards.

1. Safety on PlaylistFeed

To maintain a healthy environment for music discovery, all users must follow three core rules:

Do not buy or sell playlist spots
Do not spam, mislead, or manipulate others
Treat other users with respect

Violations may result in warnings, removal from the platform, or permanent account bans.

2. No Payola

PlaylistFeed does not allow pay-for-placement. Selling or buying playlist spots violates Spotify’s Terms of Service and undermines fair discovery.

You cannot:

Ask for or offer money in exchange for playlist placement
Guarantee playlist spots in return for submissions
Accept gifts, money, or incentives to review or accept a track

You can:

Accept submission requests
Add music you genuinely like
Offer feedback if it’s optional and not paywalled

Any form of paid access that results in guaranteed playlisting is strictly prohibited.

3. No Spam or Low-Effort Submissions

All submissions must be relevant, respectful, and thoughtful.

Avoid:

Copy-pasting the same message to every curator
Using a blank profile (always include a photo, bio, and music links)
Sending music that does not fit the playlist’s genre or vibe

Submitting music without context or effort lowers acceptance rates and may result in access restrictions.

4. Legal & Ethical Use

PlaylistFeed is built in compliance with major digital laws and platform policies, including Spotify’s TOS and GDPR.

You may not:

Collect personal data or contact info without consent
Spam users with messages or off-platform promotions
Share private submission data outside the app
Use PlaylistFeed for fraudulent, misleading, or abusive activity

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate legal or ethical standards.

5. Positive Community Participation

Users who contribute positively may receive additional benefits, including:

Increased visibility in Feed and Explore
Higher trust and faster request approvals
Early access to new features
Eligibility for verification and platform recognition
