Blocking or Muting Users (Safety & Support)

Tools to control your experience on PlaylistFeed

If another user is making you uncomfortable, behaving inappropriately, or disrupting your experience, you can use block or mute features to protect your space on the platform.

Blocking a User

What it does:

  • Prevents the user from sending you submission requests
  • Hides your playlists and profile from their view
  • Stops them from following or engaging with you

How to block someone:

  1. Visit the user’s profile
  2. Click the “…” (more options) icon
  3. Select “Block User”
  4. Confirm the action

Once blocked, they will no longer be able to interact with your account.

Muting a User

What it does:

  • Hides that user’s content from your Feed
  • You remain connected, but their activity is silenced
  • Useful for curators or artists you don’t want to see, but don’t want to fully block

How to mute someone:

  1. Go to the user’s profile
  2. Click the “…” menu
  3. Select “Mute User”

You can unmute them at any time from your account settings.

When to Use Each

  • Use block for harassment, spam, or unwanted contact
  • Use mute for content filtering without fully disconnecting

Reporting

Blocking or muting does not automatically file a report.

If a user violates the Community Guidelines, use the Report option on their profile or content to notify the moderation team.
